Best IT List Approved Scents For Some Valentine's Day Hinting This Year. For Him, For Her, For You! 

Some people have their signature scent, and when they walk in the room or when you give them a hug there’s that gorgeous feeling of familiarity & “I missed you”. My mum has always worn either Eau De Soir by Sisley or Portrait of a lady by Frederick Malle, and anytime I smell either fragrance be it in a department store or on someone else I get that sense of home. My husband has always worn Creed Aventus, it’s a powerful yet refreshing scent that works as well as an everyday scent as that for an occasion. It’s a sexy, cool and bold fragrance and you could never tire of it. For me, I’m a fragrance addict & I almost like to change my fragrance to match my mood or my outfit! I also change my fragrance a lot as I love a scent to remind me of a moment, a time or a place. My wedding scent was YSL supreme Bouquet, the scent I wore to bring Brody in to the world and during that newborn bubble was By Killian can’t stop loving you, I love beach walk by Maison Margiela for holidays and I always love to wear Chanel around Christmas.  Typically I’m  drawn to a more masculine scent with notes of oud and wood and leather such as Le Labo La Noir however in recent times I’m getting drawn to more vibrant & feminine notes, more akin to those worn by my mum.  Perfume houses such as By Kilian have the most divine scents & Victoria Beckham has also delivered on two of my current favourite scents both Portofino which I’d describe as the ultimate date night perfume & San Ysidori Drive which is invigorating and uplifting, it’s full of energy & celebration it’s a party or holiday scent.

A recent fragrance discovery is the brand Memo Paris, they are deliciously luxurious and bursting with personality. My favourite of those I’ve tried is Sicilian Leather or Moon Fever.

Closer to home La Bougie is a huge favourite of mine for both candles and perfume, their Tuscan Bergamot scent is my very favourite it’s such a clean and masculine scent  & all hand pored in West Cork Ireland. Great size for your handbag & a super readable price tag too. This is a scent I’d suggest wearing to a job interview as it’s not overbearing and is universally adored!

Another recent discovery is a beautiful brand called Stories from Northern Ireland, we adore the Stories no.2 fragrance, it’s an elegant scent with honey tobacco, cedarwood & amber musk which will make heads turn, it says “she means business”

On a recent ski trip I wore Creeds Queen of Silk & my husband commented that it was one of the nicest scents I’d ever worn. Embodying decadence and regalness, the Queen of Silk captivates your senses with an enchanting fusion of notes from around the world.
