Stylish Mother of the Bride Outfit

The Mother of the Bride outfit is always a major moment at any wedding. Ahead of my own wedding my mum commented that she just wanted to wear something fabulous, nothing typically mother of bride, something fashionable and unique but something that she could wear to multiple events, which is always important especially if you are going to be investing so heavily in one look. My mum opted for a blush pink Dolce and Gabbana dress with large green florals, it was divine and she has worn it to multiple events since.

From chatting to many brides to be on Instagram, many mums, like my mum, are looking for something stylish and fun and so we have put together a round-up of some pieces which we think will make for really stand out looks for the Mother of the Bride who is opposed to anything typically mother of the bride – the fashionista mums!

Our top tips for avoiding anything that can be quite dating and traditional, avoid too much matchy matchy, the bag doesn’t need to be the same colour as the headpiece and the shoes, block colours and more modern and print is a fun way to achieve a more fashion forward Mother of the Bride look. I went to a wedding last summer and the MOTB wore the most epic Versace neon green and pink suit – it was a major vibe!
